Avalon Organics Clarifying Lemon Shampoo & Conditioner – Review

When it comes to my hair, I like simple products that don’t contain toxic chemicals. I pretty much stick to my tried and true favorite shampoo & conditioner brand, which if you are a regular reader of mine you can pretty much guess that’s Live Clean hair products.  When I had the chance to try out this Clarifying Lemon Shampoo & Conditioner from Avalon Organics I was super excited since I love how natural their products are.

My hair is naturally on the thicker side, frizzy no matter what and is color treated every 6 weeks Ronald McDonald red. Trust me it’s a full time job maintaining it.

Clarifying Lemon Shampoo  ($10.99 – $13.00 / 325ml)
This clarifying shampoo is designed for hair that is dull or lackluster, a medley of lemon essential oil, quinoa protein, aloe and vitamin E gently clarify, brighten and remove excess oils and dulling build up. It has a refreshing lemon scent that does not smell artificial at all. In fact it smells exactly like my lemon essential oil.

It has a clear runny consistency which lathers very well. My son and I have been using this shampoo for a couple of weeks and we love it. Sometimes when it comes to organic shampoos they don’t do a great job in the lathering department, but this shampoo lathers up very nicely and most importantly my hair feels super clean. It removes all the hair care products I use like hairspray very nicely.

The result: natural highlights, color and shine are restored.

Clarifying Lemon Conditioner ($10.99 – $13.00 / 325ml)
This conditioner clarifies and moisturizes as lemon removes dulling build-up and shea butter adds shine to restore natural highlights and color. Since a conditioner is left on longer, providing more time for the absorption of its benefits, we enriched this conditioner with moisturizing babassu oil to restore hair strength plus extra shea butter and vitamin fortification to clarify. The clarifying lemon conditioner smells just like the shampoo but unlike the shampoo it has a white creamy texture that makes my hair feel super silky and makes my dull hair look shiny again (shiny in a good way.)

Who should use this product? Benefits all hair types

Directions For Use: Massage into clean hair from the roots up. Leave on as long as desired to absorb the enriching benefits of shea butter and babassu oil. Rinse.
