Batiste Dry Shampoo – Review

Looking after your hair takes a lot of time and for people who dye their hair it can be even harder trying to maintain their hair color, but having greasy oily limp hair so  not cute. On my path to finding the best dry shampoo one brand always came  up and that happens to be Batiste.  Batiste is best known for their dry shampoos, they carry over 10 versions from different scents and shades. Today I will be talking five different versions they currently carry. Batiste Dry Shampoo works by absorbing the oil on the surface of the hair, just simply spray into dry hair and then style as normal, Avoid spraying too much to prevent your hair from looking too powdery.

What is Batiste Dry Shampoo
Batiste Dry Shampoo is a starch based product with an innovative ‘no water needed formula’ which helps eliminate oily roots and boosts body giving dull lifeless hair the makeover that it needs without water. A quick spritz revitalizes hair leaving it feeling clean and fresh.

How To Use

  • Shake the can vigorously before use.
  • Separate hair into sections and spray into roots in quick short sprays holding can 10-12 inches away from hair.
  • Leave for a few moments and massage through. Brush out any excess. For extra texture and body don’t brush out.

Packaging
As with all the Batiste dry shampoo’s the one comes in an aerosol bottle that has a nozzle spray. I personally prefer aerosol cans but it can also be a challenge controlling where the shampoo goes. Not to worry though because after a few times of using this product you become familiar with how the nozzle sprays and becomes a piece of cake. The great part about this packaging is there are illustrations located on the back which shows you how to use this dry shampoo which is extremely helpful to people who aren’t quite sure how to apply it properly.

Cherry  Fruity & Cheeky
Cherry is for anyone that loves their look sweet, smooth and full of luscious retro flavor. This Batiste Dry Shampoo delivers a rich cherry scent as it livens up your locks, and looks just as great on your dressing table as in your vintage handbag.

Lotus
Revive your hair — Lotus style. Instantly refresh hair with this warm delicately fragranced product. With hints of fruit, flowers and rich coconut your hair’s guaranteed to look and smell sumptuous.

Heavenly Volume
Turn up the volume in your hair with Batiste Heavenly Volume. This multi-tasking product refreshes your locks and gives hair that gorgeous, touchable bounce you love. The perfect product for anyone who loves a boost of volume that smells divine. And like all things heavenly it won’t leave your hair sticky or stiff.

Sweet & Delicious Sweetie
Infused with delicious notes of raspberry and vanilla, this fragrance is guaranteed to sweeten your day. A few spritzes of Sweetie and your hair instantly looks fresh with added body and texture. I really love this dry shampoo and the scent isn’t overpowering it’s a more muted sweet tone.

Beautiful Brunette
Beautiful brunettes! Keep the passion and power in your hair by avoiding white marks with Batiste’s boosting brown blend. The hint of brown blends seamlessly! If you have difficulty blending in regular dry shampoo because of the white streaks I highly recommend giving this version for brunettes a try. I personally don’t use this version since my hair is bright red.

    • Go for it. You would love this dry shampoo

  • Sweetie sounds such an adorable scent!!! I’d love to give it a try but I’m scared when it comes to use dry shampoos in general because my hair is very curly and I can’t brush the residues easily off… mhh Well, at least Batiste Sweetie has a collectable packaging 😀

    • I have used Batiste dry shampoo when I have curled my hair and I have not had an issue with any residue. If you are worried though I would definitely recommend the brunette version.

      • Yes, this is a great news! I will look for it, I think it can stillblend well with my new henna colour… 😉 I’ve tried Lush Caca Rouge over my natural extra brun base and now I’m a very dark mahogany. xoxo
