A pencil designed for shaping, lining or filling in the lip. Lip Pencils have a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for lining the lips or filling them in. They are long lasting.
If you love bright bold fuchsia lips than look no further then Magenta Lip Liner from MAC.
MAC describes this shade as a vivid cool toned pinkish purple that has a subtle bluish purple duo chrome if you look closely. This lip liner suits pretty much any hot pink or fuchsia lipstick. I love paring it with Show Orchid, Girl About Town, Gladiola and if you feel like Candy Yum Yum lipstick from MAC is not wearable, applying Magenta lip liner over the lipstick really tones down the color. The pigmentation is decent, I mean for the steep price tag I would expect better color pay off but with two layers I love the coverage.
The texture and application isn’t the creamiest but once you warm up it on the back of your hand is does apply much more smoothly. If you have dry lips I would highly recommend conditioning them before using MAC lip pencils since this shade does tend to cling to dry patches.
Even though this pencil isn’t the driest lip liner I have ever used it’s still not an overly creamy liner so it does because of that reason it does last a long time on the lips. In all the years I have worn this lip liner I have never actually really timed the wear because I usually wear a lipstick over it. My lipstick does last around 5 hours when worn with this lip pencil.
