It’s no secret I love liquid eyeliners, so when I found out Mary Kay was releasing a brand new Liquid Eyeliner Pen this season I was super stoked. I think eyeliner pens are great for beginners because they are so user friendly. I have been using this eyeliner for awhile and I am super happy with it’s performance.
Bring out your inner makeup artist with the Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner Pen. It’s easy to hold and easy to line thanks to the smooth flow of colour from the no-drip precision tip. “Draw” attention to your beautiful eyes with quick-drying, dramatic definition corner-to-corner. From a subtle fine line to a bold cat eye – you can go from day to night in a blink as the intense, smudge-proof color stays put until you’re ready to take it off. It’s a stroke of genius!
The pigmentation is fantastic. I get really good color pay off with one swipe. It dries to a matte finish which is my first choice when it comes to eyeliners. I also love that it dries quickly. I have hooded eyes so most of the time eyeliners transfer to my upper lid even before it’s finished drying. FYI I have very dry lids but I still always apply a primer before applying eyeliners, I feel like they apply much smoother.
Although the tip of the applicator isn’t super fine you still have a ton of control and depending on how you are holding the pen you can create thin or thick lines. The staying power is also really impressive. I have kept this on for 9 hours and I didn’t experience any smudging or flaking even after trying to rub it off with my finger. It did fade throughout the day though so that’s something to keep in mind. I wouldn’t go swimming with this eyeliner on so it’s not really waterproof. I didn’t need to use a makeup remover to remove it, I just used my regular face wash.
