If you read my blog than you know I love sea salt scrubs. I prefer salt scrubs over sugar scrubs. Salt is known to have loads more benefits which is why I am super excited about the release of the Aromaessentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub from Arbonne.
This scrub is different than most commercial scrubs. It’s not filled with nasty ingredients and synthetic fragrances which causes loads of irritation for my dry skin. Instead it includes amazing and beneficial ingredients such as;
- Safflower Seed oil which helps protect and replenish skin’s moisture barrier.
- Avocado oil which is known for it’s moisturizing benefits. It’s also known to soften skin.
- Vitamin E which is a known antioxidant. It also conditions the skin and helps restore a radiant appearance.
- This scrub also contains essential oils, which if you don’t know I use on a daily basis medicinally. It includes Lemon, Orange and Lemongrass essential oil.
My skin is naturally very dry, flaky and beyond itchy!. Since using this scrub my skin does feel softer, although it hasn’t cured my dry skin and I wasn’t expecting it too. It does soothe it though.
The scent is so refreshing. It smells exactly like lemons and oranges with just a hint of sweetness from the lemongrass essential oil. Its definitely something you need to smell in person to truly appreciate it. I use this scrub about once a week and its gentle enough even for my dry skin but at the same time does an amazing job removing dead skin and leaving skin feeling super soft. The salt dissolves really easily and unlike other commercial salt scrubs it isn’t too abrasive. After I have rinsed off I use my Homemade Lavender & Frankincense Body Butter and the scrub and body butter are great combo.
Although this scrub is on the pricier side, it’s huge, it would take me a really long time to use up all this product. It’s also made with great ingredients I can trust. I love that it comes with a little black scoop too.

What I Don’t Like
Arbonne is a company that sells cosmetics and skin care products. You can purchase their products online or through a rep much like Avon or Mary Kay. Arbonne products are cruelty-free and are also vegan except when stated as other wise. Arbonne lipsticks are free of parabens, talc, gluten, toluene and phthalates.They sell higher end cosmetics and skin care so you will notice higher prices, and as regular readers of my blog know I am trying to go more natural so I know it costs more to create products that are more natural. I personally think it’s worth buying some higher end cosmetics and know your not putting a bunch of chemicals and toxins on your skin or your face.
