HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Collection - Review

HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Collection – Review

HASK hair is growing so popular and for good reason. Pretty much everything I have personally tried I have loved and my hair has never felt more healthy or softer. Today I am reviewing their new Kalahari Melon Oil Collection, which is formulated with color shield complex, which helps protect color-treated hair from damage and fading caused by every day washing and heat styling. The Kalahari melon is found in the African desert and it thrives by retaining moisture. This powerhouse ingredient counteracts moisture loss and fading, leaving color-treated hair healthy and vibrant. Don’t damage your hair or your wallet with endless trips to the salon, add HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection to your routine for unbeatable color retention!

Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Shampoo (355ml – $7.99 CAD)

As soon as I popped open the cap I fell in love with the scent of this entire line. It smells exactly melons. This entire line has the best scent when it comes to hair care products I think I have ever tried.  It has a thick consistency that has an off white color to it. As with all other HASK Shampoos a little bit goes along way. I have short hair and I literally needed a dime size and even that produced a ton of lather. Even though this is a shampoo it actually does a pretty good job hydrating my hair. The first time I used this shampoo was the same day I dyed my hair and I never use a conditioner to rinse out hair dye. Even without using the conditioner the shampoo alone did a pretty good making my hair feel soft and it didn’t irritate my scalp.

Free of: sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors.

Directions: Apply to wet hair. Massage into a lather, rinse thoroughly and repeat if desired. Ideal for daily use. For best results, use the Hask Kalahari Melon Oil system.

Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Conditioner (355ml – $7.99 CAD)

The conditioner in this line is very hydrating and adds much needed moisture to my hair. I let this conditioner sit in my hair for 3 minutes avoiding my roots.  It leaves my hair so silky and the best part is I can actually glide my brush all through my hair without any tangles. With Color Shield Complex, cranberry and sunflower oils, this conditioner delicately cleanses to help maintain long-lasting vibrant color.

Directions: Apply to wet hair. Leave on for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Ideal for daily use. For best results, use the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil system.

Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Deep Conditioner (50g – $2.99 CAD)

This deep conditioner is an ultra-restorative, hydrating treatment that will preserve and nurture color treated hair. This conditioner counter acts fading while keeping hair soft, nourished while maintaining  long-lasting vibrant color. I use this deep conditioner about once every 2 weeks when I feel like my hair is on the dry side. I use it in the shower after using the shampoo & conditioner. Since I have short hair I got 3 separate uses out of it which is pretty awesome. I do hope HASK makes a tub version of this in the future though.

Directions: Apply a generous amount of deep conditioner to clean, wet hair. Massage into hair focusing on damaged areas. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Style as usual. Ideal for use 1-2 times per week, or as needed. For best results, use the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil system.

Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Shine Oil (18ml – $2.46 CAD)
HASK Shine Oils are always a favorite of mine. This lightweight, alcohol-free oil instantly absorbs to help protect color treated hair, with no greasy residue. This oil gives my hair amazing texture and a bit of volume too, I use only a tiny bit on the ends of my hair mostly. I blow dry my hair often so the fact that this oil protects my hair from the heat is a bonus.

Directions: Can be used on both wet and dry hair to create a silky, smooth finish. Distribute a coin-sized amount evenly throughout hair, avoiding the root area. Apply more as needed. For the best protected hair, use the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil system.

I am beyond impressed with these hair products from HASK. I love that even though they are a drugstore brand the packaging and the quality is just like a high end shampoo & conditioner. If you need help maintaining your color treated hair or if you want to rejuvenate your hair I would highly recommend this line. It's officially in my favorite product list.
