Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush In Live Pink – Review, Swatches & Photos

I have to be honest and say for the past couple of years I have been super impressed with drugstore makeup. And even though I mainly buy drugstore makeup, I cant remember the last time I ever bought a blush from the drugstore. Most drugstore blushes look like their going to be a chalky powdery mess and the shades don’t look very unique to me so I’ve stayed away from them.

Product Description
Soft texture glides on smoothly and blends evenly for a natural sheer finish. This long lasting powder gives you a natural looking colour for up to 6 hours. Comfortable formula, Streak and smudge resistant! Dermatologist tested, Fragrance free.

Packaging
The packaging is quite simple. It has a transparent lid which I’m a fan of.  It feels sturdy and is compact for traveling. This blush is available in 4 shades: Live Pink, Pink Rose, Coral and Madiera

Pigmentation
Living Pink is a very pretty light pink shade with subtle shimmer. The shimmer is barely noticeable once it’s applied so if you aren’t a fan of shimmery blushes you don’t need to worry about looking like a disco ball. The color pay off is actually really good. You don’t have to worry about getting carried away and applying too much. It deposits the perfect amount of color.  Although this blush has fantastic color payoff, it does apply quite sheer. Since this shade is on the lighter side I didn’t think it would show up on my medium skin tone, but after two swipes I achieved a healthy flush color on my cheeks.  Since it’s not overly pigmented it’s a great blush for work or everyday wear.

Formula
The formula is pretty impressive. It feels very smooth and although it’s a bit powdery, it doesn’t looking chalky once it’s applied.  It has very little fall out. I always make sure to tap off any excess product before applying it.  It lasts throughout the day without much fading and it gives a radiant healthy natural glow.

  • I think Rimmel blushes are so underrated but they are amazing. I have a shade in Santa Rose and it is the perfect neutral nude blush. This shade is beautiful. I will have to check it out!

  • I have this blush in a different colour and I love it! The pigmentation is just right – decent, but not enough to look like a clown.

    • I agree. I’m not a big fan of blushes that are overly pigmented. Especially since I usually have a heavy hand with blushes.

  • The color is really pretty! Despite the product being a tad powdery, I feel like Rimmel is one of the better quality drugstore brands out there.

    • I agree. I haven’t tried many blushes from the drugstore but I have been super impressed with this blush.

  • Glad you liked this blush, girlie, it’s such a pretty color! I used to LOVE Milani’s baked blushes and had to stop because apparently I’m allergic to talc 🙁 So now I have to stay clear of nearly every blush and only limited to those found in health food stores, which don’t nearly have as many colorful options, boo! But, at least it’s been helping to clear up the acne the reaction was causing 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have an amazing weekend, beautiful!

  • I have never tried Rimmel blushers so this is a great review! This shade looks like it would be a touch too light on me so I would need to swatch it in stores first.

  • I like that it is a sheer color without going overboard… I am going to give Rimmel a try as I don’t like my blush being overpowering and what a great price xox

    • I think you would really love this blush if you like pink shades. Currently they have 4 shades available but I do hope they release more shades. Have a great weekend Launna.

This seems very good for an inexpensive brand, I like this shade a lot! A bit of extra powder in the summer heat in not a bad thing! Great review!
