“Delivers ultra rich colors in a lightweight formula. Its blend of moisturizing ingredients of aloe, shea butter and vitamin E enhances lips, leaving a smoother, healthier feel. Glides on effortlessly with the slant top, for a flawless even coverage.”
I have loved the L.A Girl Luxury Creme Lipsticks for years. They are so affordable, creamy and there’s such a wide variety of colors. Unfortunately they are not sold in any retail stores within Canada so I usually purchase them from Beauty Joint.
The packaging is quite cute considering the price point. This lipstick comes in a sleek twist up tube with a clear cap. The cap can easily get dirty since the lipstick is not 100% retractable so it tends to smear the cap. The packaging reminds me of the Wet n Wild Color Icons lipsticks. The overall design is pretty decent, nothing fancy.
Fling is a really nice everyday nude shade. The main reason I love this nude lipstick so much is because it has a pink undertone which really suits my skin tone. If you haven’t had any luck with nude shades with peachy or yellow undertones try this shade or one with a pink undertone and you will see a huge difference. Wearing a nude lipstick that has pink undertones doesn’t give off that death look. It looks a lot more natural and flattering. The consistency with this shade is amazing. It’s so creamy due to the Shea butter and vitamin E. It glides onto the lips effortlessly. Fling is a matte shade but doesn’t feel drying like your typical matte lipstick. My lips are naturally very dry and I don’t even need to apply a lip balm before applying this lipstick.
These lipsticks would have easily been a 10 in my books if it wasn’t for the weak staying power. Since they are highly moisturizing they aren’t going to last as long as a liquid lipstick will. It’s important to know that before purchasing these. If you don’t like reapplying your lipstick throughout the day then I would skip this lipstick.
