Awhile back I reviewed the Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner, that I wasn’t all the pleased with. In fact it was the first Milani product that was a disappointment which is funny because I still think Milani makes one of the best eyeliners available at the drugstore. Today I will be reviewing the Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eyeliner that I am beyond impressed with. It’s officially reached holy grail status in my books.
So what’s so great about this eyeliner? Well Milani claims this pen style eyeliner is waterproof, non-feathering and glides on smoothly in a single stroke. It’s always great to have options. And with this versatile “extreme” felt tip tool, you can line your lids in three different intensities – thin, medium and heavy – just by switching up the angle you hold it. One of the main reasons I love this eyeliner is the extremely thin felt tip applicator. Since it’s thin you can easily create thin lines and really get a precise cat eye. If you are like me and love a bold thick liner look you can still use this style of applicator starting thin and working your liner until you have reached the desired look very easily. This eyeliner is pretty much mistake proof. The pen style eyeliner is especially great for beginners who love the crisp clean look of a liquid eyeliner but have a hard time using a traditional liquid eyeliner. Another thing I love about this eyeliner is the felt tip applicator doesn’t fray out, which tends to happen a lot with this style of liner.
The pigmentation is out of this world, it’s highly pigmented and I don’t even need to apply two layers. One layer and I’m good to go. It’s a rich black that dries matte! The consistency is also very good. Unlike the Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner, this one isn’t too thin or thick, it’s just right.
The staying power is pretty impressive too which is very important to me since I have hooded eyes. It lasts all day without transferring to my crease. I never apply eyeliner without a primer so if you do have oily lids I highly recommend using a good primer before hand.
