It’s no secret I believe Milani makes the best eyeliners when it comes to drugstore eyeliners. Whether it be kohl or liquid liners their liners are packed with excellent color pay off and the staying power is never disappointing. Since I prefer to use liquid liners I was excited to try out yet another one of their Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliners.

Since the release of eyeliner pens I have tried several different ones from different brands and the biggest downside to using this style of eyeliner is they tend to dry out really fast, I mean as quick as a month.

This eyeliner comes in a pen style with gold packaging throughout. What sets this eyeliner apart from other brands is it’s a lot shorter which in turn aids in better control and easier application, especially for beginners. Since it’s shorter I feel more comfortable holding it while I am lining my upper lash line.  I can easily create thin and thick lines with better control.

The formula is also really great. The eyeliner is totally black and not a dark gray. It dries to a semi-matte finish and does not budge once it’s set, so it’s a great eyeliner to use in the warmer months or if you have oily lids. Although I do think Milani makes some kiss ass eyeliners, I do have a gripe with this one in particular. First of all you have to constantly shake this eyeliner to get the ink flowing which quite honestly seems a little ridiculous to me since I have never experienced that with any other pen style liners before. The applicator tip is  tad bit too stiff so when I apply this on my top lash line it can look streaky and not as pigmented as the swatches look. So in turn I have to apply  a few layers. Aside from the applicator this is great compact eyeliner to use if you are looking for a pen style eyeliner.

As you can see it’s not as pigmented as the swatches once it’s applied. I applied about 4-5 layers due to the streaky application.

If you are looking to purchase a pen style eyeliner that's small and compact this is definitely worth a try. The stiff applicator brush can make the end result look streaky and I feel as though this eyeliner isn't as pigmented once it's applied to the lash line which is the main reason I would not repurchase this product.

Too bad the pigmentation isn’t good. I mean applying four layers is very time consuming…not what a promising eye liner sounds like! thanks for your review.

Well, if you think that they are the best eyeliners (the brand) and a pen styled eye liner, I would really love to have it! In brown, it;s so difficult to find brown eye liners. I like too, that it’s cruelty-free!

I would skip this one as I find it pretty average as per your review..

    • Yes Milani definitely makes far superior eyeliners.

  • I like the package, very nice eyeliner

    • I like the packaging too I wish I liked the product more though. It’s not the best.

  • packaging looks great but i do not prefer hard applicators, it is looking a bit patchy, i know you must have had a hard time getting that perfect application 🙂

    • Yes I did. The tip applicator is actually pretty stiff which made the liner look streaky.

  • Your make up is stunning! I love the color!

  • I love the way you click your pictures.. Nice review though !!
