elf Studio Powder Brush – Review & Pictures

Product Description
This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. studio brush!

I can finally say I have my very own elf Studio Powder Brush. After hearing ten million positive reviews I finally gave in and spent the whole $3 to get it. The main reason I purchased this brush was because it was so inexpensive and who doesn’t need more brushes. This powder slash kabuki brush is made up of taklon synthetic fibers and has a sleek all black handle and bristles. I love synthetic brushes. Unlike animal hair brushes synthetic brushes can easily be used in wet or dry products and they last so much longer. Not to mention they do feel much softer on the skin as well. The brush is densely packed but I don’t feel it’s as dense as a kabuki brush. The head of this brush is  also quite large so it can be harder reaching smaller areas of the face such as the corners of the nose, but at the same time makes applying foundation to the rest of the face very quick. This powder brush is a great brush to use  to apply both liquid and powder foundations. I don’t use powder foundations so I use this brush to apply my liquid foundation and it does a great job. I like the air brushed look it provides while making blending very effortless. I really like that it doesn’t shed when I apply my foundation, there’s nothing worse then picking off tiny hairs from your face. While deep cleaning this brush I didn’t notice any shedding either which is a huge bonus.

Overall
I think this is a great brush to own especially since it’ so inexpensive. It applies foundation flawlessly and has a sturdy handle. I personally don’t reach for this brush too often because it’s not as dense as I would like it to be. But nevertheless it’s a very popular brush  but I personally would not purchase it again.
