Infused with pure 24k gold, CC cream is a lightweight texture tinted cream that diminishes the appearance of dark spots and skin tone imperfections that can be caused by sun exposure or the aging of skin.May be worn alone, or after your day cream, and or before your usual foundation for more coverage.
With all the different CC and BB creams on the market I have to admit I have never tried any simply because it all sounds so confusing to me and because I usually opt for full coverage foundations. Today I will be reviewing the Marcelle CC Complete Correction Cream. Besides being infused with pure 24k gold this CC Cream offers all of the benefits of a BB Cream but it goes one step further and has more long term skincare benefits . The Marcelle CC Cream helps protect skin from dryness, corrects skin imperfections, evens out skin tone, helps hold your makeup all day and protects skin from UVA and UVB rays.
Can we just look at the gorgeous packaging, I mean the packaging is so impressive considering the budget friendly price. It comes in a beautiful pump packaging. The product name is on the front of the bottle along with other details. The bottle is gold and white which looks very classy. Since the bottle is white it can be hard finding a colour match if there aren’t any testers available. The pump also works great. It dispense a perfect amount of product without any wastage.
This CC cream does feel thicker then a typical liquid foundation but I really love that since I do have dry flaky skin the thickness feels very moisturizing, but at the same time feels lightweight once it’s blended out.
The application is wonderful. I usually have to moisturize my skin before I apply any face products but decided to skip that step since this cream offers a good amount of moisturization. My skin doesn’t feel dry and doesn’t flake even after hours of wearing this product. I have tried applying this product with my regular foundation brush with no luck. The product absorbs too much in the brush and I notice product being wasted a lot more, so I opt to apply this with either clean hands or the Real Techniques Miracle Complexsion Sponge.
As far as coverage, I typically don’t have pimples or acne I need to cover up, my main issue is dark circles and redness. This CC Cream provides light but buildable coverage. Although I typically opt for full coverage foundations I have really been enjoying use this CC Cream when I’m in a hurry and want my skin to breathe. You can always add foundation on top of this cream for fuller coverage. If you have severe dark circles I would still suggest applying a concealer. This product also leaves a dewy glowy finish to the skin that is very subtle. I think this is a great feature to have especially if your skin is dry and dull. If you prefer a matte look you could always set this CC Cream with a translucent powder of your choice. Golden Glow is a perfect color match for my NC30 skin tone. It blends in beautifully with my skin without any streaks. Marcelle claims this CC Cream does improve dark spots but I can’t attest to that since I have been using this cream for only a couple of weeks.
I wasn’t expecting this CC Cream to last a long time since it’s so lightweight but surprisingly it lasted a good 5-6 hours before I noticed fading. If you have oily skin you might want to set this cream with a powder. I did notice some transferring but not as bad as some foundations I usually wear.
