“A kohl pencil that has all the intensity and colour power of ultra-soft carbon. Specially formulated to provide deep, fully opaque coverage, provides an intense, smoked finish with duo-chrome pearl.”
Feline Power Eye Kohl from MAC is one of my holy grail products, it is hands down my favorite black kohl eyeliner ever. From the past reviews I have read you either hate this eyeliner or you love it and I am one of those people who love it. I am so happy MAC finally decided to make this product a permanent item.
It applies very smoothly without tugging my eyelids and glides on effortlessly. It is the blackest pencil eyeliner I have ever tried. I hate it when I have to go over my waterline a couple times with a pencil just to get the color to show up. With the feline eye pencil you only need to go over your water line once to get a very intense black.
I know a lot of people have an issue with this eyeliner smudging, but MAC has never claimed this was a water proof eyeliner. It’s not really meant to stay put. It’s a great eyeliner to use for a smokey messy look. I personally love this eyeliner because I have really bad dry eye lids and for me this eyeliner lasts all day without smudging or transferring. If you want the eyeliner to last longer always set it with a black eyeshadow.
I know a lot of people have compared Feline eye Kohl to Urban Decay 24/7 pencil eyeliner in Zero. I am one of the few people that did not like the urban decay eyeliner in zero. To me it’s not very pigmented and it ended up smudging on me for some reason, it also wasn’t as smooth and creamy like feline is. I don’t think the urban decay eyeliner is a good dupe for the feline eye kohl, I think Smolder Eye Kohl from Mac is a much closer dupe.
As you can see in the swatches it’s obvious Feline is super black compared to Urban Decay and Blacktrack Fluidline by MAC.
